Dr. Eli Coleman

Dr. Coleman has made significant contributions, nationally and internationally, to the understanding of sexual health. He has served as past-president of The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS) and the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS). He is professor & director of the Program in Human Sexuality at the University of Minnesota Medical School, one of the world's largest and most comprehensive centers for sexual health treatment, research and education. Dr. Coleman’s contributions to the field of sexual health are significant, a recipient of the Gold Medal Award at the XVII World Congress of the World Association for Sexual Health and named the inaugural holder of the University of Minnesota’s academic Chair in Sexual Health, the first of its kind in the world. He is the author of numerous articles and books, and is the founder and current editor of two sexuality journals.

In his role as Chair for Sinclair Institute, Dr. Coleman keeps our Sinclair staff abreast of current trends and research in the sexual health field; he collaborates on the development of new video programs and web content. He consults regarding client sexual health questions and various other matters related to sexuality issues. Additionally, he serves as our ambassador with the professional community at conferences and more specifically with our full Advisory Council.

Sinclair Institute Advisory Council

In 1993, The Sinclair Institute formed the Sinclair Advisory Council composed of well-known sex educators, therapists, and researchers from across the country. The Advisory Council helps guide the development of Sinclair products and policies to ensure each video reflects the concerns and needs of healthy, monogamous couples who want to enhance their intimacy.
